The screen was defective. The display is always dim. When I put the original cracked monitor back in, the brightness is normal, which means there is nothing wrong with the computer or settings. I have e-mailed LCDbros at the time I received it, but never got a response back. Don't buy. It's a waste of money.

The monitor is defective. It is so dim that the display is not comprehendable. With the camera's flash while taking the picture, some of the display can be seen. I confirmed it is not the laptop or operating system by putting the old cracked monitor back in, which displays brightly. For now, I'm using an external monitor. I messaged LCDBros about this defective monitor but never received a message back. Waste of time and money.
